Lilly’s Terrible Day
Lilly had a terrible day today. She woke up late, so she had to hurry. She was hungry, but she didn’t have time to eat any breakfast. She got dressed, grabbed her book and ran all the way to the bus stop.
The bus was just leaving so she yelled but the bus driver didn’t hear her. She could take a taxi or walk to school but she decided to walk.
One hour later, she arrived at school. She had missed her first class and she was late to her second one. She hadn’t studied for her calculus test; of course, she didn’t do well on it. Her biology teacher told her she had to repeat three labs or she would fail the course.
After school, she walked to the bus stop but she hadn’t brought her umbrella so she got very wet. The bus finally came and she got on. She reached into her pocket for bus fare but her pocket was empty. Her money was gone! She couldn’t pay the fare so she had to walk home in the rain.
